Marco Ammendola studies Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Turin, where he is completing his Master’s Degree in Translation. He came to the University of Bristol as part of the Erasmus Traineeship programme. In Bristol he has been working under the supervision of Dr Catherine O’Rawe on subtitling video interviews conducted in Italy for the project Italian Cinema Audiences. As he is interested in the field of audio-visual translation, he has decided to write his final thesis on his experience within the project and on subtitling from English into Italian.
